Join us on Sunday December 14, 2025, from 3pm - 6pm at the Azubuike Studio for Story Keepers: African-American Legacy in Cloth — A Story Quilt Exhibition.


This special event features The Strongest Threads Story Quilt Exhibit alongside Advancing My Craft, a new solo quilt series by artist Gaye Shannon Burnett.

Featured quilters in this year’s exhibition include Marie Christian, Anita Green, Alisha Hanes, and sisters Nicole & Natalie Bacon.   


Experience powerful story quilts created by these local artists, enjoy refreshments, watch a short video, and stay for a Q&A with the quilters. 

Projects funded by: The Bechtel Trust, Iowa Economic Development, and Quad City Arts Dollars.
